High Security & Commercial Hardware

Securitex Locksmith provides high-security and commercial hardware specifically designed for environments where security cannot be compromised. Our solutions include pick- and drill-resistant locks along with restricted key systems that cannot be duplicated without proper authorization. Using specialized hardware such as mortise locks, mechanical deadbolts, and electronic keypads, we help our clients achieve security that far exceeds what standard hardware can offer.

True high security is about more than locks—it’s a complete system that layers physical barriers, controlled access, video surveillance, and alarm systems, all supported by audit trail software to monitor and report activity. For high-traffic areas or physically demanding sites, we specify heavy-duty, architectural-grade hardware to ensure long-term performance and protection.

Understanding Industry Security Standards

When selecting security hardware, it’s essential to understand the quality benchmarks set by industry standards. Two of the most trusted organizations for certifying the durability and performance of locks are the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and Underwriters Laboratories (UL).

ANSI, in partnership with the Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA), uses a grading system to rank products by performance. Known as the ANSI/BHMA grading system, it helps identify locksets that meet increasing levels of security and durability. These grades ensure the hardware you choose meets your operational requirements and stands up to daily wear and tear.

Products That Exceed Performance Benchmarks

Underwriters Laboratories (UL) provides additional certification through UL 437, a standard that rates the pick resistance of keyed locks. This rating serves as a trusted measure of a lock’s ability to withstand advanced tampering techniques. One example is the Kwikset Signature Series 980 deadbolt, which meets the UL 437 11.6.1 pick test—one of the most challenging in the industry.

During this test, specialized tools are used to manipulate the lock's internal components, requiring a high level of skill to defeat. Locks that pass these rigorous tests offer superior protection and give customers confidence that their security hardware meets the highest standards in the industry.
